KS L 9102 Artificial mineral fiber thermal
insulation materials
Made by melting calcium silicate-based ore at high temperature, Byucksan Mineral Wool is certified as GR (Good Recycled), and it considers resource recycling from the manufacturing stage. It is an eco-friendly heat insulator that acquired “Eco Label”, “Outstanding Grade HB Mark”, “and S Mark certifications. This material is widely used in various fields ranging from fireproofing, sound absorption, heat insulation, insulation of various buildings, plants, and vessels to agricultural seed plates.
Characteristics
Heat Conservation/Insulation
Demonstrates outstanding heat conservation and
insulation effect since the product is uniformly made of fine 5 micron fibers.
Sound-absorbing
Provides excellent sound absorption performance as each fine fiber contains air, demonstrates remarkable performance in the low-frequency sound that is not
absorbed well.
Thermal resistance/Nonflammability
Mineral Wool is an artificial mineral fiber that is used for fireproof structures owing to its high heat resistance.
Constructability
Not broken easily owing to excellent flexibility (fiber materials), can be easily cut with a cutter.
Water and weatherproofing
Does not absorb atmospheric moisture and provides better weather resistance than other insulators owing to its stable structure.
Recyclable
More than 80% of coke, the main raw material, is recycled to save resources, reduce carbon dioxide, and save energy.
Use
For shipbuilding: Heat insulator for ships and offshore plants.
For industry: Boiler furnace wall of various power generation plants; equipment of steel plant such as piping, drying furnace, heat treatment equipment; piping, tank of refinery chemical plant, etc.
For construction: Fire doors, sound-absorbing partitions, sandwich
panel core materials, insulator for curtain walls, air-conditioning facilities, sanitary facilities, etc.
For agricultural use: Sowing and seedling
